People who know stuff about jewelry how and where do I find something like this and what is it called? Thickness? chain length? Material used even tho I would prefer gold.

It is very popular.
Don't get a hollow/semi solid one, they won't hold up.
You can add diamonds or leave it plain.
Standard lengths run 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 30 inch, but it is possible to get one that is too long and shorten it to what you want.
