This is an escapement mechanism, used in classic (wind-up orweights) analog clocks and watches. The large wheel moves once a second, and is typically connected to the second hand in watches, and to other gears that count the minutes and hours in watches and clocks.

I don't know, but it looks like it goes tik tok.

The part on the left just makes it work. What it's actually doing is on the right and mostly hidden.

If you looks closely, you can faintly see a large wheel with three spokes. (A flywheel?)

The only thing I can think of is a clock or watch, but I don't think that's right. Too much is hidden and faint.

There also doesn't seem to be any source of power. That coil could potentially power it, like winding a mechanical watch - but it sure wouldn't last long.

I know it's not what it is, not even close, but at first it reminded me of the points, cam rotor and distributor for older cars.

I've seen enough watch/fixing videos to be able to tell... that's some clock's mechanism, lol

it does have the weight thing, the spring thing... the long noodle needle thing... and the gear stuff

First glance I thought it was off a bike but I think it might have something to do with telling the time.

Some kind of mechanical clock would be my guess.

Detent escapement, you can faintly see the flywheel. These are commonly found in mechanical clocks.

That kind of looks like a mechanism that drives a wind-up watch.
