There are many old jokes about grandma getting her tit caught in the wringer.
That is a very old washing machine. The clothes get washed in the tub and then you feed them through the rollers to have the water squeezed out. And, hopefully, yout tit doesn't get caught up in the process! If you were using one of those machines, you didn't have an electric clothes dryer so the clothes were then hung in a clothes line outdoors and allowed to dry in the sun.
OMIGOD, I had one of these in my yard. My wife planted flowers in it. It is an old style washing machine complete with a wringer. My wife's grandmother had it at their summer house. I think I took it to the dump a couple of years ago.
I've seen several of these in gardens with flowers in them. That's about all they're good for now. If only my mother and grandmother had known...

Thats a washing machine. We had one when I was a kid. Sucker worked really good, but you had to be extremely careful about that wringer thing at the top. You could get your hand/arm stuck in it.
