It's a turn off to me, no matter how pretty the girl is.

Reason: The hijab to me represents a view that says: ''stay away, I'm not exposing my looks'' - so I respect this - and I look away. It's respecting your views on life, even when these views aren't mine.

From a ''Western'' point of view this could be called: 'shooting your own foot' :D

Having lived in Malaysia for a few years, I also see some hypocrisy in the hijab's handling: over there they make wearing a ''pretty'' hijab quite a fashion thing (especially for Eid al Fitri) - where the initial 'idea' actually is the opposite.

An average Malay (or Indonesian, perhaps). In my own view she's pretty enough, but not outstanding.
Not saying so to hurt anyone :)... ''average'' is what MOST people look like; me included.

Bonus answer: from my personal impression, my trouble with Malays is that they are basically built a little on the ''stocky'' side, and a majority of them -once gotten married- isn't too much into weight control any longer.

No. I find the hijab off putting. To me it’s a sign of a backward custom where women were possession of men and other men were not entitled to see them outside on the street. I will however always be polite and friendly to a lady wearing one. Respect is a two way street.

No way. 1st that's religious, 2nd forced upon women in many places (Granted not so much in the west thankfully) and was always routed in been a forced thing, 3rd I find hair to be a part that makes a woman attractive.
Unlike the dumb french laws with there stance of it should be banned I do not agree with that. It's within a woman's rights to wear what she wants if that's a hijab let it be so but that don't mean I have to like it myself.
