Why is it so hard to find a comfortably fitting bra?

Get fitted first and get one that will hook on the third or more row, so that as you may gain a little weight, you can go to the next loose hook. Too many women buy a bra that hooks on the first hook, thinking that the bra will stretch as it gets older. It is already stretched when you get it. You will grow not your bra.

Perhaps you don't know your correct breast measurements. I advice you to go to a store where they take accurate breast measurements so you can find the ideal bra for yourself they will also be able to advise you on what type of bra suits your breasts the best. I think Victoria's Secret has a service where they take your measurements.

It's hard because:

1) Boobs vary so much in shape. Even if you have the right size, there are still so many shapes that you can be. First there's projection. Very shallow, shallow, average projection, projected, very projected. That's at least 6 different possibilities. Then there's horizontal fullness. Outer full, even fullness, inner full. 3 possibilities. Then vertical fullness. Top full, even fullness, bottom full. Another 3 possibilities. Then root width. Wide roots or narrow roots. 2 possibilities. Root height. Tall roots or short roots. 2 possibilities. That's 6x3x3x2x2 which is 216 and I haven't even included all possibilities, I've kept it very broad. So for a single size, let's take 32D - there are hundreds of shape possibilities.

2) Bras vary in size. Although don't take this one too seriously, people are under the impression that all brands make their bras COMPLETELY different to each other but they don't, that's exaggerated. They do of course still vary. You might have to go up or down a band size or two, or up or down a cup size or two.

3) Most people have the wrong size. If you've struggled finding comfortable well-fitting bras your whole life there's a good chance you've been in the wrong size - even if you've been 'professionally' fitted because that's no guarantee. I've been fitted incorrectly in 3 different stores. Measuring yourself is the best way to find your size because you know you won't be scammed. And it's not hard - ANYONE can use a measuring tape. You can do it manually but I prefer using a reliable bra size calculator like the abrathatfits calculator - you key in your measurements and it does the working out for you.

Right it is hard. You just have to try different sizes and maybe less padding those are comfy
