Does acne make a person seem younger?

I stopped talking my hormonal pills a few months ago, acne has come as well as people assuming I'm a sixteen. (I'm 22) didn't happen much before now.

y'all reading too deep into this 😂😂 I'm literally just asking if you see a young adult with acne; are you more likely to think they're a teenager? Literally it. Not is it better for aging does it look better; none of that. It's as simple as I wrote it.

Beauty goes beyond acne, okay ? This being said there are effects from acne. The first being a sign of generally failing skin. Skin is an organ and treatment comes better medically. You can search this on sites like WebMD so that when you visit doctor you are reasonably informed. Now, i can tell you story related to the first question if interested. Shoot me a reply ;-)

I’d say acne, braces, a parochial school uniform and many other things associated with the teenage years make women look younger. If you were an FBI agent, you might be investigating on line perverts.

I don’t get it, myself. I used to tutor a 15-year-old girl in algebra. A teacher in her school was in the news for an affair with a student. He was eligible for over 600 years in prison. He kept a diary that detailed over 20 sexual liaisons. The penalty for statutory rape was 30 years in prison. The prosecutor argued it isn’t 30 years for an ongoing relationship, it was 30 years for each encounter and his own diary listed over 20.

Anyway, the media didn’t identify the victim, but everyone in the school knew who it was. I asked my student if she could bring her yearbook and show me the girl’s picture. I wanted to see what a girl who is worth 600 years in prison looked like!

I am 25 and I still have breakouts occasionally. Its perfectly human and perfectly normal to have acne. If the acne is troubling you or causing discomfort you should she a dermatologist that can determine what's causing the issue and treat it specifically, off the shelf or over the counter products are not a one size fit all and may end up doing more harm than good.

Not at all, as it does nothing to reconfigure ones face. Its just simply... there. What makes a person look younger is how they take care of their face.

If you have a face full of grease and acne, that's likely teen years. Light acne can still be around in your 30s but it'll be so much more controllable that we are talking minor spots. But like as you mention hormonal birth control can help quite a bit as one gets older, and that's one reason some will stay on it despite not being sexually active, not to mention possibly lighter or no periods.

I have pimples breakout even until now and its very unlikeable. I cannot use any skincare without consulting my derma and need use stuff which is mild. So having a pimple doesn't make a person look younger.

I don't think so personally... I've seen plenty of older adults who had acne, and I see plenty of teens that have no acne.

No. It will end up making them look older due to scarring. Get a prescription to Retin-A Micro and never have acne again.

Yes. Not everything works for everyone. I use it but spirolactone is what worked the best. It's just that I'm trying to get pregnant so I can't use it right now. I only thought it was funny that people thought I looked young suddenly.

Retina-A also gets rid of small wrinkles and is generally safe for pregnant women. It's basically a special form of vitamin A. It does make your skin look sunburned and it will peel for a couple of weeks, but small price to pay.

I don’t think so. People can have acne at any age. I didn’t start getting acne until I turned 20.

Coming off of birth control makes your hormones fluctuate, so it’s very normal to get acne until your hormones settle again. It can take a couple years, depending on the type of birth control you were on and how long you were on it

@Subarugirl it wasn't birth control though. It was spirolactone for pcos; a hormonal disease. The med is an androgen blocker that helps with side effects.
