Okay, okay. Those aren't me and I don't wear high pants. Mine usually ride just below the external oblique curves of my waist (which are now tantalizing love handles). Yeah, baby, I'm too sexy. 😎 🤣 It does mean that I have to hitch my pants up, on occasion. 😂

I couldn't find any good images of old fashioned (1930s) style pants. Everyone has seen images of old men with their pants pulled up to their arm pits, or fat men with their pants pulled up past their gut. And, of course, suspenders.

Usually under the belly but keeping my jeans a little high, appearing respectful not like street punks who have their underwears half shown!

Well geez, I almost always wear regular waisted, or low-rise jeans, shorts etc…
but my belly never hangs over the sides OR front! (Or anywhere for that matter.)
I would definitely say if you look like EITHER, then just wear high-rise jeans. Nobody wants to see all that fat hanging over your pants!

My mom always told me to wear it over so your belly doesn't hang over you pants. Your pants can hold in your gut, plus I've seen people with very large cuts that let it hang and sometimes their shirt isn't big enough to cover it.. which sometimes isn't a good look.

Guys under belly, but girls over belly.

A guys waist is just under his belly. But, a girl's waist is over her belly mid way up.

Why? Because where the most fat his on your body. Guys fat his on his belly 85% of the time. A girl's fat his on her hips 75% of the time. As the place is the first place to get fat and big before any other place on the body

I wear low waisted pants, shorts, etc. and so does my husband. We don’t hang over them. If we did have bellies that rolled over the top, we would likely purchase larger sizes to avoid the muffin top
