How should I respond when someone comments on my appearance?

Today in class some girl started talking to her friend about how bad my hair looked. I got a haircut and they cut a bit too short and I was already self conscious, but her comments were so hurtful. She was like, "did he get a haircut? it looks so bad. why does it look like a bowl cut." and then they both just laughed. And the worst part is I sit so close to them, like of course I heard everything but I just pretend I didn't. I didn't know how to respond and I can't think of comebacks that quickly. Now my whole day is way worse than it already was...

I would have either let her know who was in charge or gotten a date out of that. Face-face, thank you for your advisement... how would you fix it.. what would you cut... what would look better on me?

Before it was done i have her holding my hands in hair pretending she had scissors OR that girl would never dare to make negative comment to me ever again. Either way, the guy will becomes more attractive in her head...
