Girls, I’m a nurse and the hospital I work at is sponsoring a drag show and the girls on my floor want me to do it?

I don’t know if I should or not just because you know, I don’t think I want to dress as a girl lol. But if I “win” my who unit gets a catered dinner for one night at work too. I get why they want me to do it, I’m short and small, I have long hair and I was born with Klinefelters Syndrome (chromosomal disorder, I was born with XXY chromosomes instead of XY) so I have very feminine physical characteristics and I mean that might even be my biggest fear with it too, that I’ll totally look like a girl. I don't know, just asking for thoughts and such and wondering if I should do it blah blah blah.

Ok sooooo looks like I’m doing the drag show lol. Finding out all the details now but I know it’s 4 outfits and basically like a freaking beauty pageant lol

It all depends on how comfortable you feel doing it. You should do what you feel is right for you. I wouldn't do it if you feel pressured by the girls and feel like you are letting everyone down unless you are comfortable dressing up as a woman, in front of everyone and performing. That said, you would make a pretty girl!

That’s what they all keep saying too lol so thank you? lol. I don’t feel pressured so much as I do just you know, the stereotypes people still attach to something like this. Plus I know my work friends are going to have an absolute field day with me if I say I’ll do it. I told one last night I was thinking about it and she already said “ohhh yasssss, mani/pedis for us before the show!” Lol

I think I’d be comfortable just you know, it’s nerve wracking a bit. Because as a straight guy, no matter how physically feminine I do look, it’s still you know all the stupid tropes people attach to this stuff even still today

Do you really think it’ll be fun? I think like I said my biggest worry is I don't know I’ll LOOK too much like a girl and not sure why that makes me nervous lol. I mean I already basically look like one anyway or someone inbetween genders

Oh yeah I get that. I do think it will be fun you get to strut your stuff and I think women are attracted to femininity in a way men aren’t attracted to masculinity. I think a lot of your coworkers will blush seeing you. I’d practice by yourself though so that you can get comfortable/decide if you really do want to do it. + department party night seems fun.
