A woman without nail polish looks neglected. Agree or not?

+1 yNo, nail polish does not define femininity, or how well groomed you are. There are so many ways to be "well groomed" outside of that: such as smelling nice, dressing in neat, not wrinkled clothes, wearing outfits that compliment your figure, getting your hair done, etc...
Also, not all women are able to wear nail polish. Jobs play a big factor.
For example, I work in a hospital: our nails have to be a certain length, no fake nails or tips, and if they're painted? Clear polish only. And that's just for desk and non-clincal staff.
In other words, don't judge a female on something so superficial.101 Reply- +1 y

+1 yYou can always take care of your nails and cuticles without applying nail polish. I trim my nails every two weeks and wash my hands more than 10 times every day. I used to apply nail polish every week in high school, but my nails were not long, and it was always a nude color which looked subtle and neat. Sometimes, I used clear nail polish to make my nails look shiny. Whenever I used to wear nail polish, they would always chip off within 4 days and it was a huge pain to maintain it.
I strongly disagree with your statement. A mere nail polish does not define how "well groomed" a woman is. So, if a woman took care of her nails (wore nail polish) but does not shower for 3 days, wears tattered clothes every other day and smells absolutely awful, she is well groomed? Taking care of your appearance is about looking neat and elegant, not doing these "extra nice" things such as painting your nails or straightening your hair.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI actually appreciate well maintained nails on women a lot. Like if every time I see you, your nails look prestine and are a nice color, I'll be impressed.
Most women do too much with their makeup, its either caked on or they do their face like they're getting ready to do you a favor for $20. It screams all types of red flags when the makeup doesn't look good so when I see a chick with minimal makeup and nice nails, I feel like when I talk to her maybe I shouldn't bullshit so much, and get to learning what she's all about.
The long nails, I stay far away. I don't think I trust women with long nails. They usually the first ones to have something to say when someone leaves the group.

1.3K opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. I don't like long nails and I hate fake nails. But I notice well cared for nails on a woman.
She doesn't have to wear polish every minute or even every day. But polish, even clear or some subtle color, indicates the special attention she gives to detail when she wants to look especially nice.
I can be turned off by certain colors, color combinations, and especially appliques. Then again, sometimes they can be appropriate. There is a line between elegance and bad taste.

I think a woman looks so nice when she has fresh nail polish on her fingers and the same color on her toes.
Due to a broken wrist that never gealwd correctly I cannot polish my own nails anymore.😔
But ever since I was 12 years old, my nails were always polished! That's a fact.
I always felt it was very soothing to paint my nails. I went overboard on buying all different colors. Almost an obsession you could say. I guess that was because I just used to wear this one color all the time. Then they stopped making it. So I had to keep trying different colors. And if there was a sale on nail polish, well, that's how my collection became so big.
I really miss my pretty nails 💅😔21 Reply- +1 y
Get it done. So much nicer being pampered.
I hate doing at home and have to wait, if not careful, it gets messed up.
It takes a lot of work to keep your nails in good condition, especially if you work. And actually getting your nails done professionally can be quite expensive, so plenty of women just don't bother. It rarely means she neglects herself, only that she has more important things to take care of.
20 ReplyDisagree. I think wome can look very well groomed without nail polish.
What is not acceptable to me is a woman that chews her nails down to the numbs, that is a clear red flag to me. I always look at their hair first, a woman that keeps up with hair, is a clear sign of good hygiene.30 Reply- 1.4K opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic.
+1 yFingernail ''styling'', pale skin, unpractical clothing and such had been status symbols of a long gone decadent ''class system'' life style.
To pursue it nowadays as some kind of hobby is ok to me... but unattractive.
I have that feeling that a -say- over-groomed girl (and the boys as well) avoid the ''real'' hands-on work and are a bit on the 'lazy' side of life.
Neglection: ... of reality can be discussed in such cases.

+1 yI prefer natural nails. Trimmed and filed smooth.
Somehow I've always associated long nails and lipstick with bright colors with bimboes and stuck-ups. But don't get me wrong, it's not a dealbreaker or anything, it affects me very little when I am aware of my own mind like that.
It's just one of those things I'll always assume they are doing for their own sake and fashion-taste only.10 ReplyReally just cleanliness.
Could go the extra mile to paint them with a clear base/covering coat, for shine, and a whitening-tip for more of an appealing ‘pop.’
Really don’t have to, though.
Also could just do manicures for fun, and special events 💅.
Otherwise, well-trimmed or clean is good 😊.

To me, Natural beauty will always be number one but at the same time enhancing your beauty as far as a woman using Nail polish (especially done professionally) is not bat thing because some women do need it plus I have seen some great transformation when it comes to women painting their nail..

+1 yNot true, and I'm a real fan of women with nails. What I DO think is that a woman who has the opportunity to take care of her hands and nails should do so because, in my opinion, it does make her sexier. But not all women are blessed with great looking hands or nails. Sometimes, nail polish on short, stubby nails looks worse than having none at all.
So to summarize, I don't think the polish itself is necessary to look well-groomed, but same hand care is.

+1 yNo; not at all. Nail polish is fine but it's certainly not required. I don't think I ever even look at a girl's hands anyway. My level of caring about nail polish, on a scale of 1 to 10, is somewhere between a 1and a 0 (zero).
30 Reply I disagree that a woman without polish looks neglected. If her nails aren't cared for then she looks neglected. Cared for, natural nails look just fine. Polish looks great but isn't required.

+1 yI disagree with you. I prefer natural looking nails on a woman that are not too long. But everyone can have their own preference about this.
30 Reply it all comes down to what occupation they are in. if you were eating at a high price restaurant and found a woman or mans nail in your food would you care personally what their nail color is? In my opinion my best judge is when i look into a mirror whether its good or bad

+1 yI think it’s more important that nails are well cared for to the best of her ability. As for myself, I don’t generally wear nail polish because it draws too much attention to my very short nail beds.

+1 yShould may be a bit strong, since different people are looking to get different things out of life.
That said it's difficult to overestimate the difference that a good maicure makes.00 ReplyI don't think so personally. I mean her nail polish isn't the make or break thing for if she's attractive or not. Besides, she's gonna take it off at some point, and most of the time put on a new coat of nail polish.

+1 yNo? I use to wear nail polish all the time before my job.. I actually miss it cause it made my hands prettier and more feminine looking to me. But you can still look good without it.
