Ladies, Legging and Yoga Pants, what exactly is the difference?

Just one of life's great mysteries. I have a pretty good Idea but I'd like to hear it from your perspective.

Leggings to me are tights without feet so I would not wear them as pants rather under something. And bc they have no feet or makes them kind of annoying bc I still have to put socks on. I prefer as few steps as possible to clothing so I’m likely to wear tights with a skirt or dress or yoga pants with a top, but not leggings with a top a bottom plus socks 🥵

I never use the term leggings. I always say tights or yoga pants. I said jeggings before but that just sounded dumb so i rather say skinny jeanz

Leggings are thicker tights. Yoga pants are thicker leggings. That's just the way I see it lol

A leggings are normally tight all the way down but yoga pants are tight at the butt and thighs then loose over the lower leg.

The material. Leggings to me you have to wear with a skirt/dress or long t-shirt otherwise people can see your underwear, bum crack or camel toe.

Leggings are thinner material. Yoga pants are thicker

Yoga pants can be worn independently eg with a t shirt.

Leggings need longer tops to cover the butt.
