Just no. There is a reason the button is there. I am not aware of this trend in guys or girls. Must not have hit my area yet (thankfully). I don't know what the point of this would be. Perhaps you can give us some context of the purpose of leaving pants unbuttoned. You can always use the update box and update the question with extra info.
Now, I have been trying to figure out what would be the reason for anyone leaving their pants unbuttoned. I certainly would not be participating in this fashion or fad. That is all I need as added attention.

I don't like jeans in general and regard them as a poor choice, so buttoned or not it makes no difference for me.
