Why doesn't schools allow shorts?

Hey everyone, why doesn't schools allow me or anyone to wear short shorts or short skirts?

I don't see why it would be a problem at all?

It's also about being appropriate

The focus away from why they're there
Which is to learn, not to dare

So, school's the place for study and more
Not for clothes that stop the class's lore
So, when it comes to the school dress code
Shorts and skirts are best left on the road.
