Called ugly by complete strangers, why?

I'm a black girl and I'm in my mid twenties now, I remembered a few years ago I used to be called ugly as sin by strangers that are the same race as me in places I go to shop at.. it happens now still but only a little.. what could be wrong with my appearance and what could cause these random strangers to say this to me? I honestly don't see anything wrong with me, I have a good body and normal face.. what's could be going on with me?

It’s really sad by our own people to say that about you because I’m a black male myself my sista , I hear you on dat and I’m sorry but remember one thing Black is Beautiful and don’t ever forget or deny that ya hear? You were designed the way lord made you and there’s nothing wrong with you and most certainly there’s nothing wrong with your race or skin color at all either. Your acceptance of yourself is what matters and should validate in your mind about yourself because people gonna hate or say things about you that’s ignorant, it’s nothing you can do except turn the other cheek, keep your head high, confident, and walk away knowing you don’t show no reaction or attention to those shows the proper response and get back for people like that simply in that. Sadly there’s a lot of people like that you’re gonna confront like that but like I said, you gotta ignore them and don’t ever pay no attention or mind. Show yourself to carry with grace as a Black Queen and mind your business. In conclusion, just ignore and rid of those kind of people for those comments and say negative things and just walk away and don’t retaliate because they have problems with their own self to bring down someone else because the old saying goes “Misery loves company”.

The people who called you ugly were extremely racist. They are complete clowns and should not be taken seriously. That is their problem, there is nothing wrong with you.

Umm I feel like there’s more to the story that you’re not saying. Like what was said prior. People are rude but most random people are not going to just call you ugly for absolute no reason, even if you look like Shrek unless there’s some interaction happening.

@Cristinaissweet I’m sorry, but what does race necessarily have to do? If you are black and the other people are also black, it doesn’t matter what race you are. I have a lot of black friends even one who is very, very dark (no disrespect to her, but she is) and she has never told me they did this to her. Maybe it’s where you live, what you’re wearing or where you’re at. If I go to a bad area of my city often I can expect people to be rude every time I’m over there. Try going somewhere else. Most places are not like what you describe.

I believe people who insult other people about the way they look are probably insecure about their own physical appearance. So to answer your question the people who called you ugly are insecure people.

I only hope that there's nothing wrong with my appearance because I don't see anything odd going on with me.. for people in my local area to call me ugly, I'm also investigating to see if there's someone spreading rumors about me to cause these people to say these things to me, isn't it odd?

I'm black 5"7, slim 122 pounds and people still do this to me. Especially Hispanic people.

I would say sometimes when I'm out, used to happen a lot a Walmart but as for now it's sometimes and I'm confused

Yeah a few times, I know it's unbelievable but it happened and I've been confused myself on why they did this.. it doesn't happen as much as it did but still, I've been carious about it
