Yes. Beauty standards are subjective and change from place to place and time to time. What was considered attractive in ancient Rome (a Roman/hooked nose was considered a sign of nobility and strength/power) is no longer desirable and women get nose jobs to get a small upturned nose. In the Middle Ages, as well as some African countries nowadays being overweight is considered attractive and a sign of wealth. There are 7 billion people on the planet, so obviously not everyone is gonna agree with each other and find the same people attractive.

To a large extent but not completely. There are some features that the majority of people will find unattractive - deformities, seriously unhealthy weight etc. There are some features - good skin, a quick smile, healthy body - that most people will find positive.

There are some other patterns - but individuals ideas of beauty still vary over a wide range. For many people (myself included) someone with an attractive personality will appear to be more physically attractive.

Of course. There are people I'm attracted to that others have called ugly, and vice versa.

I thought my brother's ex girlfriend looked like a damn bulldog, but he genuinely thought she was beautiful.

My brother was attracted to his ex wife and she was short and shape like a pear shape. She didn't look beautiful to me though my brother found her attractive at the time. I guess my brother just saw past what she looked like and liked other things like her personality and body.

No, beauty isn't as subjective as people think. What's ugly is ugly to most people and what's beautiful is beautiful to most people. Sure there may be gradations to account for specific taste but overall I'd say absolutely not. Talk to any unfortunate man who was born with piss in his gene pool and he will tell you that beauty is not in the eye of the beholder.

Yes and no. We as a society have clear standards of beauty that permeates everything. But outside of that this exists. In short, a person's personality is only going to do so much.
