At least you aren't mistaken for a 14 year old like me, and I have a few silver hairs that I've had since 29 years old.

Take it as a compliment, it means you've taken good care of yourself. I know some people my age who look twenty to thirty years older than they look.

For the majority of my life I will look old, so I'd rather look young while I can and shave every other day.

As for other people, it could be a plethora of things, but usually it's because people do not like getting older. However, I feel like a lot of people my age try to look older.

It's mainly a thing with women because fertility and attracting mates matters to them. Most men I know couldn't care less, including myself. Won't dye my hair when it grays and won't do any botox.
