A lack of respect for one's surroundings is one of the major causes of this. In my grandparents' day (1930s - 1950s), it was unfathomable to go outside in super casual clothes and women would never show off all their bits. Why? They had respect for themselves and their environment. They wanted others to see that they were good people. Clothes is a major part of that as much as people today want to believe otherwise.
Today, everyone just walks around like they don't give a shit about anything. Wrinkled, deschevled, stained clothing is commonplace.
Wealth has nothing to do with it either. I come from a poor farming/merchant background. It doesn't take much to put together a nice outfit.

You can thank celebrities for fashion trends. Good and bad ones. They seem to set the standard and it’s kind of embarrassing that people go out of their way to mimic it.

I am ready to be beat up over this one:
A) Comfort is overrated.
B) A lot of women seem to think that revealing is the same thing as dressing well. Sometimes it is but just as often dressing with less revealing class can be even more attractive.
C) A lot of men have gotten unbelievably lazy.
D) Men have no pipeline of knowledge on HOW to dress well. There are very few decent male role models that are actual good dressers. A handful of actors and male celebrities are but for every one of them are ten guys who think t-shirts & board shorts are a 7 day a week wardrobe.
Personally, it was well into my 30s before I learned the power of a well fitted suit and developed the understanding of how much the world would treat us very much like the way we looked like we should be treated. I was fortunate to have good mentors to guide me into their oft overlooked doorway of manhood.A hundred years ago even the beggars wore suits. Now we have company CEO's (like Zuckerborg) giving presentations in T-shirts and jeans. How embarrassing!
The other day a friend was watching the World Series and they showed a clip from the 1940’s? Maybe a little earlier. Anyway, it looked like just about every guy was wearing an actual suit. Even when I watch old movies, you see all these women walking around in dresses and hats and all the men in suits. It is actually cool to see but I like the way it is now, where seeing guys in suits is special, something you don’t see everyday.
society. society has made it acceptable for people to be borderline naked at all times. as such dressing modestly or even dressing up is fading. dressing casually is fading.
Well just because there are more ornaments it doesn’t mean it looks better or the effort is bigger;ultimately cloths are made to be worn and jot just physically but even emotionally as they reflect a piece of us so if you look at someone’sclotj and he has put an effort to match it’s physical look with his personality and his aura is in sync with those then the wear is perfectly put effort inn!!
The guy in the first picture is straight. The guy in the second picture is passed around at gay sex orgies and has a lifetime subscription to astroglide weekly.
In black and white you're seeing a real man, in the right picture you're seeing an unknow creature which between a male and a female...
I mean walking around more comfortable is the natural way of living.. Plus wearing less casual clothes and bad weather is a recipe for disaster.. I don't know the exact reason we started dressing more casual though..
Guys were overly fressed. A real man wears work clothes or simple comfortable clothes. Metro guys have to much feminine touches thats why they are interested in clothes. He might be gay aswell because real men like buying things for their cars or tools.
Covid made it so a lot of people did not even wear pants.
Pandemic... work from home. 5 day beards and PJs. Put on a shirt for the Zoom call but leave the PJ bottoms on.
I don't know i think dressing for comfort is especially important for yourself and not for others.
Want to be grossed out? Go to a Walmart. People have become slobs.
People nowadays prefer comfort over looks maybe thats why, so did I. But I still prefer to be groomed everyday
It’s funny watching the three stooges, who were often depicted as poor imbeciles…. yet almost always wore suits and hats.

Girls of 2023 showing their pussy
2024 will be a string running up the crack and showing breastThat started in the 1980s. It has probably just gotten worse over time.
I struggle to see jeans or t-shirts in the sample pictures.
The fact that people are less shallow and dress now simple is a good thing. Having to wear expensive or uncomfortable clothes or other stuff that you don't want like just to impress or please other people is not something we should miss
Jeans and a nice T-Shirt is good enough.
Dressed like that idiot on the right I just don't understand it.
