I never really thought of it before, but probably 1995 or 1996! 😳 Back in the early to mid 90s I had really long hair ('cause grunge music 'n stuff lol) that I didn't have cut often. Then in early 1997 I shaved it all off, and I was left with pretty big bundle of 20 inches of hair that I donated to a worthy cause. But ever since I shaved it off I've had very short hair that I cut myself. I've been cutting my own hair for 27 years now, and it was probably a good year or year and a half before I shaved off my long hair that I actually went to a barber to have my hair trimmed. It's almost hard to believe it's been that long.
