Whats the best hat to wear in the rain especially if you wear glasses and want to keep them clear?

I am not a hat person so initially I was just going to get a beanie to protect the top of my hair but then i said maybe a bucket hat to cover my glasses. I don't know i really dont want to wear a heavy rain coat and i probably won't carry an umbrella since it’ll likely blow upside down. It would decide to pour several showers closer to going out of town. But yea any recommendations? Especially since we may view this one waterfall and thats gonna leave us even more wet. We both wear glasses so preferably a hat that both a guy and girl can wear. I feel like im gonna end up looking tacky and having to wear one of my grandpas big hiking like hats 😩 #FeelFreeToList

I tried on all types of hats today. The bucket hat was sort of cute but hid most of my face lmao. Its just not my style. I didn't try on the fedora because i didn't like the material it was made of. All the dry fit baseball caps were too tight on my bigass head. The fishing hat looked silly on my like i was a cowgirl going on a safari. Surprisinly I settled for a nice rain jacket and the hidden hoodie is huuuuuge and does actually protect my glasses

Here are some hat options that could work well for keeping glasses dry in the rain:

- Bucket hat - As you mentioned, a soft bucket hat with a decent sized brim can help keep glasses shielded from rain droplets. Makes you look chill too.

- Unstructured baseball cap - A low profile baseball cap with an adjustable back can slide comfortably under glasses frames. Bonus if it's hi-vis or has a fun design.

Okay, here are some examples of hats that could work well for keeping glasses dry in the rain:

Bucket hat:

Baseball cap:

Haha no way, the bucket hat is super chill! Definitely doesn't make you look like a grandpa, more like a laid back surf girl. I think with the right outfit it would be a funny semi-hipster vibe. Definitely better than those ridiculous massive hiking hats. And it'll do the job of keeping your glasses dry for sure. If you're worried about pulling it off, maybe get it in a neutral color like khaki or gray instead of bright stripes. Then it won't be too "loud" of a look. And trust me, who cares what you look like when you're having fun with your guy on the trip anyway! As long as you both stay dry, that's all that really matters. I say go for the bucket hat, you'll rock it baby!

I wear a fedora and it works well on both the sun and rain. Not great in high wind.
Don't wear glasses any more so can't comment on the effectiveness. Does get in the way of headphones so I switched to earbuds.
