Do you wear shoes when you are at home?

My family always remove our shoes when we come home.

If I'm coming in and going back out soon, I leave my shoes on and walk around doing what I need to do. I have no issues with wearing shoes in the house. But if I'm staying in, I remove them for comfort.

I don't have a cultural thing about taking my shoes off before I enter the house. And I'm not a germophobe or clean freak. I have mats outside and inside my doors and carpet runners, so it's not like I am tracking dirt on my carpet.

Nope. I don't want to track in the leaf litter or pollen or what have you. Plus my rescue kittens don't like the sound of hard shoes on the wood floor.

Never! I’m mixed Asian and one thing about Asian families is that we remove our shoes at the front door. We don’t bring germs in the house. Me and my husband have a pair of slippers that are only worn in the house. When I stay in hotels I also carry with me a pair of slippers that I wear in my room.
