Okay, this is not my normal area of expertise, but on this one let me cast a "NO" vote. Let me ask - ever so politely in the interest of cordial trans-Atlantic diplomatic relations - why you you would want to turn your fingers into graffiti strewn billboards?

That is what you are getting with that manicure. So maybe I am an old man, but that is just not attractive.

Just my 20 cents and now I will contact the French embassy here in DC to express that - notwithstanding this difference of opinion and taste - that I remain committed to good Franco-USA diplomatic relations. I promise.

I am no expert when it comes to this, but if you like it go ahead and do it. I know lots of girls who do their nails and enjoying doing things like that. It's just nails. It's not a permit thing so if you think you'll look good on you, go ahead. If you end up not liking it or get too much crap for it, it's not that hard to remove.
