Is a backpack or duffel bag better for the gym?

I think the reason people bring duffel bags is that they are more rectangular and fit better in long lockers. A bag is wide because it’s designed to evenly distribute mass so the torso has less weight hinged along its arm span, it’s used for ergonomic purposes and not spatial resourcefulness.

I prefer backpacks but my boyfriend bought me a duffel bag so I started using that. Still partial to backpacks though! I like having both of my hands free whereas with duffel bags I always have to kinda hold it so that it won’t slip from my one shoulder

I usually take a duffel bag. A backpack might be more space efficient though.

depends how much you bring/what you do at the gym. backpack is a bit space saving

I feel like honestly a backpack is so much more convenient than having to carry around an awkward duffel bag
