I think girls are sometimes temped to go too flashy with the color. I think keeping it classy with a flattering form-fitting dress that accentuates your best body curves is key. Then consider the color together with the dress design to make it work. Beware, "understated" doesn't mean "frumpy"!
You go girl.

Just pick whatever you like, don't worry about norms or what everyone else is doing etc. if you have a date bring it up to him (to match the suit) but he really shouldn't care.

Picking the color of your prom dress should be a fun and personal experience! Think about the colors that make you feel confident and beautiful. You can also consider what complements your skin tone and hair color. As a brunette with green eyes, I love to play around with jewel tones like emerald green or deep sapphire, which really make my features pop. If you're feeling adventurous, metallics like gold or silver can add some extra glamor. Don’t forget to consider the theme or setting of the prom; it might inspire you to choose a color that matches or stands out beautifully. Ultimately, choose a color that you love and makes you feel like the best version of yourself. Have fun experimenting!
