Iâve hated in the past for their impracticality of comfort and lack of reliability for activity.
Having the wrong material and pair as a kid, and I got my skin peeled/ and some blisters along the straps but mostly and painfully in between my second toe and big toe.
Later they proved to be unreliable when trying to run anywhere or even walk on the beach, as they have broke, slid off, been left behind, and broke from the sand as well (when at the beach).
I think one point I almost dangerously lost mine while trying to walk in a subway car in a summer of New York, and I almost left it outside the car, while I was trying to enter it in time before the doors proceeded to close and to hurry and let others also board the train. It was either that or it almost fell through. I vaguely remember. It was when I was much younger but. Moving things and flip flops donât mesh. Not for trains. Escalators. Etc.
Also if thereâs any rain and you walk in a street with pot holes or puddles you can get nasty water all over your feet. Theyâre not grip-able so you can slip with them on or off.
Almost all funny fail videos involve someone in flip flops or similar. Trying to run amidst a prank or other. Itâs hilarious, but good reason to be cautious as well. Flip flops are also usually seen as traditional beach 🏖ď¸ attire, or perhaps a picnic, or vacation dress.
Itâs usually laid back, so much so, that is seems improper to wear on a date, a hangout (POSSIBLY), and certainly for professional/business-like meetings and/or gatherings.
BUT they do make appearances in different places and at different times and it works.
They are nice and easy to slip on⌠but also easy to slip off. Sometimes unwarranted and in an unwelcome way.
So ultimately be careful!
The ones you posted are gorgeous though âşď¸đ
People like to stare at feet. This girl at my campus was looking at my vulnerable toes. Maybe it was painted in a dark color that made em look moldy or she was in awe of my cute feet I don't know
I could never bring myself to wear them outside of home or at the beach. I find them very impractical in the streets and an easy way to get your feet super dirty.
Plus, not everyone has nice feet.
The pictures your showed are actually foot models this is not the standard image of someone walking around in flip flops
Some are ok.
My wife wears something similar to flip flops, but they are nice Italian leather ones.
They look nice and are a bit classier than the foam ones.
They tend to look cheap, especially when they are worn out.
At least spend the 10 bucks and buy a new pair.
I'm sorry, but I can't view images. Nevertheless, I totally get where you're coming from! Flip-flops polarize opinions, don't they? Some folks find them too casual or unsuitable for many places outside of beach or pool settings, worrying they might come across as too laid-back or not put-together enough for certain situations. But then again, there's no denying their comfort and the effortless vibe they bring to a summer outfit. Plus, with so many cute and even chic designs out there, they can absolutely elevate a casual look. It really boils down to personal style and how one carries the look, right? Comfort and confidence are key! 🌸

I see it's mostly people of European cultures that hate them, at least for casual wear. They think flip flops are only supposed to be for the beach. Also, they're kind of hard to walk in, and a lot of people have ugly feet. But I figured out why Desis and Orientals wear them so much. One, because of the monsoon and two, because they constantly have to take their shoes off to enter their temples, so it's a lot easier to just take off flip flops.
because they lack a strap by ankle. so they are loose noisy n easily fell off.
also the toe grip, if wear sox it caused can't wear. also it digs between my toes. so only in shower or at sandy beach.
Oh I thought you meant 'flip flops' as a euphemism for people who constantly change their minds.
Those things up there are incredibly uncomfortable. I tried a pair on at the beach once and it felt like I'd dislocated my big toe!
Just to be clear.. they make them for men too lol
I prefer flip flops. I live in Florida so it's pretty common here to wear them.
Do you have nice feet?đ
@KostasKouvalis I don't like to flatter myself but I think they're pretty decent
I mean, if they're pretty they're pretty. It would be worse if you claimed they were pretty and they weren't đ
I am curious nowđ
@KostasKouvalis I'm curious as to what's considered pretty and ugly feet now đ¤
Well I've had a few guys compliment my feet before
It's subjective, like all other forms of beauty. Different people like different things.
If you're genuinely curious, I can show you some feet I find attractive, in addition to the ones in my profile pic.
I can also tell you easily if yours are sexy or not đ
It's funny, 'cuz foot fetish is actually the most common fetish, yet so many people freak out over it.
And the funniest are the girls who put so much effort to make their feet look hot, then get weirded out and complain that people lookđ
I like the ones that dont have the toe split thing in the middle.
What's wrong with it?
I only wear them for ease on holiday. They're quite uncomfortable though. My mum lives in them in summer months
Don't like the whole thing between my toes. I don't mind the single band across the top but nothing between my toes.
I don't hate, simply don't use... flat thin shoes aren't good for my feet
Theyâre convenient, but not great for your feet. They donât offer the proper support. I wear them, but not often.
The flip-flop post chafes between my toes. I prefer sandals on the beach.
I do because they don't stay on, but lots of people love them.
yes easy n light n can be cheapest... i use em a lot
they're fine on the beach or the gym locker room and shower
They just look ugly and basic to me.
I think they are fine.
Thank you đ
Ok đ
Like in general? Who would hate them?
I wear them to the beach and pool and quick errands.
They have no support and they fall off too easily.
Best footwear for the beach.
I haven't found any that work for me.
I don't hate flip flops I hate Crocs
I wear them all the time on summertime.
Uncomfortable
