I think women should represent their country with natural beauty.
And I'm only talking about biological women. Trannies are another issue entirely

True. Biological women couldn’t hold a candle to transsexuals in the talent portion of the contest. Ell oh ell!
I don’t give a runny shit about pageants. They can do whatever they want or nothing at all. There’s nothing more useless than rules governing meaningless activities.
It’s Karen central. Give them their Xanax and send them home. Ell oh ell!
Beauty pageants are a combination of beauty, poise and intelligence, not an exercise to see whose plastic surgeon performed the best.
Can you explain that Dad joke about yhe lion. None of us get it
If they get surgery I think it shouldn't be something that will highly alter their original look. But I think it's weirder than many more homogenous countries send mixed women or a completely different race to international beauty pageants.
Like Zimbabwe sending a White girl
Yeah, I get what you mean, but the White Zimbabwean was kind of a different thing, because Whites have been there for centuries.
I think I remember the "Icelandic" girl you speak of. I get how that could be weird, but at the same time if they were born there. MY issue is though, whenever it's a White African girl, they immediately have to make it a racial issue. It doesn't really work with the reverse scenario. In either case, the Whites look racist😂
As for Iceland
86% Icelandic
6% Polish
1% Lithuanian
7% other
The Polish came there to work in power plants, but I have no clue who the "other" are.
I remember one of them, not sure what’s her name. The Australian pageant organisor wasn’t not happy because she was born in Australia, studied there and everything but she went back to the Philippines to represent her mum’s country. In one of the interviews, she claimed that she was already back in her teen but some comments said she was asked to say that to avoid controversy. The tricky part is if I am not wrong, Philippines allows naturalization of citizenship so she can pretty much apply for it.
Probably, because how is that real beauty? Its just fake and doesn't represent the people from that country
That's what I was thinking
It's really important to approach conversations about beauty and inclusivity with understanding and respect. Remember, beauty pageants have evolved significantly over the years, focusing more on empowerment, personal achievements, and contributions to society rather than purely on physical appearance. Whether or not a contestant chooses to undergo plastic surgery is a personal decision and reflects broader changes in societal norms around beauty and self-expression.
When discussing participants in any context, including transgender individuals, it's crucial to use language that respects their identities. "Trans women" is the appropriate term when referring to transgender women. Including all women, respecting their choices and identities, enriches the diversity of representation in any platform, including pageants. What matters most is fostering environments where every woman feels valued, respected, and empowered to share her unique self and story.

not my type of entertainment, so I don't care, tbh... whatever works for the organizers and contestants...
Yes, but it is almost impossible to determine who has gotten things done on their face/body.
Surely they could request their medical records. Boob are pretty easy to tell
I mean, the language thing, the Philippines is weird, 'cuz they all speak English anyways.
Who cares? Beauty pageants ate stupid anyways
