What is a sundress to you?

It's no secret that men love a sundress on women but it seems as of late there's a confusion over what is a sundress and what it is men actually like.

Yeah ofc it’s the floral one. I agree with fashionista Amy’s response as well for the guidelines to a good sun dress, but technically the black dress could also be a sun dress if worn in the summer I suppose, or in some sun-filled/ and/or leisurely outing, like a picnic. Cause usually I feel dresses are mostly only worn in warmer months. No one typically wears one in winter and such. And there are different types of dresses like wedding dress for a wedding, or dinner dress for dinner, but couldn’t any dress worn in summer or for summery outings/occasions (especially sunny days), be considered a sun dress?

Not entirely sure, but I’d always go with the floral over any solid, and the flowy over any skin-tight/clinging dress.

Neither of those are sun dresses. Sun dresses are sleeveless. They can have spaghetti straps like the first one or thicker straps, but they have to be light weight loose flowy cotton dress from the waist and have to stop at the knee or just under the knee. The idea is that women wear them out in the sun in warm weather to get summer sunshine and stay cool in a loose fitting cool cotton dress... They generally have bright vibrant prints on them.

You can tell everything is gearing up for summer when the shops start stocking more floral dresses or ones with vibrant colours etc. to be a sundress it really needs to be light and flowing, able to handle that summer heat with ample ventilation.

I think a lot comes down to the likes of Shien and Boohoo pushing normal fashion stuff as a sundress when you do a search.

If there's a precise definition of what makes a "sundress," then I'm not familiar with it. To me, it's basically any relatively loose fitting summer/hot weather dress, usually in brighter colors or patterns.

First one is glamour style Second one is Sundress.  I love summer Sundress with flashback, swinging and mini versions without underwear. My girlfriend wear sunglasses without bra and pantie.
