Men don’t care about curves anymore? (read down below)?

I feel like when I was growing up a lot of guys were eagered at the fact of a women having curves or a pear shaped body. Now they do not care or go more for a rectangle shaped body or just uncurvy woman. I feel like I wasted my time trying to go to the gym and get my curves to show more now that MOST guys couldn’t care less. What’s you men opinions?

At puberty, women put on healthy fat. It's what gives women curves. Men are lean but healthy women are not.

Men have always appreciated women's rounded curves - boobs, narrow waists, wide-set hips, and plump, round asses.

Think of 60's bombshells like Jayne Mansfield, Sofia Loren and Raquel Welch.
But, at the same time, there was Audry Hepburn and Twiggy, and runway model stick figures.

The body positivity movement came along and the word curvy got corrupted to refer to obesity and rolls of fat.

Rap music popularized "thick", particularly black, chicks. All of a sudden, that became the definition of curvy.

Kim Kardashian popularized the artificially engineered caricature of curvy (giant ass).

At the same time, there is a trend for some women to go to the gym to get lean.

In the end, different guys have different tastes.

I really don't think men's tastes have changed that much. I think the majority still like the classic look, but some like lean, some like thin, and some like extra padding.

All my girlfriends were fit and curvy in the normal sense - bouncy, average-size, shapely boobs - not small or giant; narrow waist; a good waist to hip ratio (.63 to.68); nicely curved hips; plump, round bottoms; a bit of subcutaneous fat on their flat tummies; rounded, nicely tapered thighs. Think of the classic Playboy model body.
Proportions between 34"- 24"-36" and 36"-26"-38", or even 38"-28"-40" are ideal.

I don't go for skinny, lean, thick or obese. I like women who are soft and jiggly, but look good.

I didn't think curves were made at the gym lol I thought they were made in the kitchen, yknow by eating more good food. But I still find quite a few guys I've worked with that love a little extra fat on their woman just as long as she's not looking anorexic or too far in being obese I believe most men favor that sweet spot.
Media trends go up and down and even fade away and come back it's nearly ridiculous to follow a media trend for most of your life, and still expect people to keep liking it decades from now though.

I think it’s mostly white men. They want boyish figures mostly and make one feel like having curves is some sort of deformity. Indians have always liked an hourglass-shaped body and always will. The only difference is some like full hourglass and others like a thinner hourglass physique. 20 years ago, the hip-hop/ghetto aesthetic was blowing up, and with that came the girls with the big curves, and that became more popular in the mainstream. That was when Kim Kardashian was getting started. But, yeah, like any trend in the mainstream, it will have its time, and then it's going to change.

That doesn't mean that NO ONE likes curvy girls - there will ALWAYS be men who do - but certainly mainstream fashion is constantly cycling through different looks and styles. Eventually it will come around again - though by then you probably won't care.

Look at it this way: when the look was the "in thing", you were mainstream. Now that it isn't, you're "unique" or you "stand out". You either accept it and go all in, or you let it destroy you. One of those will be a lot better than the other...

The second picture is much much sexier.  Very high chance that the second girl is healthier and will live longer. The second woman is also more fertile and better prepared for child rearing, objectively speaking, just judging by the pictures. But they both look good and both have a nice waist-to-hip curve.  First woman has abnormally wide hips . Generally, if a girl is as fat as the girl in the first picture, her curves won't be visible anymore, and she will be unattractive. She will also have a belly, which increases the risk of negative healthy outcomes in the future. This person is a lucky exception.

There's always going to be a bit of a fluctuation in what is seen as most attractive. The fashion industry will fluctuate the most, but because skinny women are easier to dress they will consistently push for those to be the norm. And most fashion icons are chosen by women, so using them as a metric of what men find most attractive is always going to give you false data.

Men, given that we are seeking a feminine woman who can bear us children and is healthy, will always be attracted to curves. It's very significant, and the vast majority of men will be very happy with curves. For some of us it's so important we couldn't be with a woman who didn't have them

Problem is nowadays with body positivity movement which glorifies obesity.

But there was always difference between obese and curvy women and that has been broken now. Just look at some of top erotic models in 90s.. these ladies with great bodies would be considered fat these days. Back in a day they were considered absolute man’s fantasy!
Thanks to fat positive movements men in the West started to get scare of curves.

However curvy women were and will be always desirable as they “scream” fertility miles aways. Same like men with wide shoulders will be desired by women. That is nature.

Hard disagree. An incredible, curvy body is a MUST in a woman! Just yesterday I went to the gym and there was a girl there with a wasp waist toned legs and a VERY curvy fit bubble butt. That ass was POETRY on her body. She was doing donkey kicks so she CLEARLY knew what to work to get that sublime ass of hers!
