Is it crazy to discriminate based on eye color?

Some girl said she doesn't like guys with brown eyes. I've never even noticed a person's eyes, or even what color they are. So it's well to me that I could. It could be a preference

This is about preferences.

However, I, too, have never heard of not choosing someone because of their eye color. If she doesn't like brown eyes, she's cutting out 45% of the population in the U. S. If she's in Uzbeckistan (sp) 100% of the people there have brown eyes. So, don't visit!

it's fine to like the LOOK of an eye color, but eye color has nothing to do with personality, attachment type, reliability, warmth, generosity or ANYTHING that has to do with what makes a person attractive OTHER than their exterior.

It's as silly as saying you wouldn't date someone with red hair, stubby nails or a gap between their teeth! No one chooses their eye color, height, breast or genitals size, or how wide their hips are.

You can certainly decide to not date someone based on such factors, but I hope your exterior makes THEIR cut!

I think everyone have different preferences and that's okay but to reject someone just because they have a certain eye colour even if that person has all the good qualities that you wanted in a partner, that's just too shallow and immature. Their loss. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'd think there's one less person I'd have wasted my time on. Thank goodness I found out about this sooner, lol

It's not even that there They're rejecting somebody based off of eye color. It's the fact that they would notice it in the first place. That part is concerning to me. I see people everyday and not once dash their eye color come up as topic of conversation. And if I did walk around segregating people based off of eye color, how is that? Any different from what the most racist people throughout history did? Like I can truly say I am ignorant to the fact that brown eyed people turn me on more the green-eyed people. But if somebody is able to make that distinction in there their mind, how are they not just as racist as the KKK or Nazi Germany. Those people love segregating people based on how they were born.

But I think it's based off of culture. Cuz I lived in a country that was mostly black people. So we just differentiated each black person by what shade of color their skin was. But when I moved to more predominantly white country. That's when I start hearing about eye color and hair color cuz there isn't that many different shades of white. So culturally white people started to differentiate themselves based on eye color and hair color. And that's how their preference is developed. So I can guarantee you when white people saw black people, they just saw them as a different race and didn't have time to analyze their hair or their eyes cuz the skin color was a big enough difference to separate them.

Moral of the story is humans are always looking for ways to differentiate each other

Of course not. Some people have widely varying eye color due to the genetics of their racial group. Since eye color varies they notice it and have preferences based on it.

It's definitely not uncommon for people to have preferences, including eye color. Everyone notices different features, and what stands out to one person might not even be on the radar for someone else. So while it might seem odd to you, for her, it could just be a personal preference. 😊

Its the same as any other preference... in my opinion having preferences for looks makes a person shallow and crazy in general. Eye color or whatever else. If you truly loved someone their looks wouldn't matter

I've only ever heard white people make distinctions between the hair color and eye color. Black people don't do this because our hair and eyes don't change that much. You might not do this, but it would be crazy to think that you've never heard a person say they prefer blonde people or brunette people. I don't even know what a brunette is.
