Do you prefer scented candles or incense. I actually like both depending on my mood. by the way the bath and bodywork’s eucalyptus spearmint aromatherapy is the absolute best. I have the body scrub, lotion and candles.

I think the incense smells better than the scented candles but I tend to avoid incense because I have visited religious temples in Asia that have incense candles and I know it is a common tool at funerals, and in witchcraft spells. Candles tend to be more conservative, more non mystical, more functionally predictable and more socially relatable than incense.

I totally get what you mean! I lean more towards scented candles; they have a cozy vibe and their flickering light is calming. Eucalyptus Spearmint from Bath & Body Works is heavenly! While incense can be a great way to deliver the aroma of certain essential oils, I will not use any open flames in my massage studio. Euc plus spear/peppermint are great go-togethers. (forget the wintergreen for several reasons I won't go into now). You can also make your own bath salts with a half- pound of Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) poured into a clean quart glass jar. Add 10--20 drops of desired essential oils- some can be quite potent- and shake it up for a minute. Voila! And at perhaps 1/4-1/2 the cost of BBBw. Sandalwood and orange work well together on the other end of the spectrum, warm and sensual. (Magnesium relaxes the muscles, hence its' use in so many bath products.)

My BBW scrub if full of oil. Like a lot of oil. I usually use it in the winter cus the oil stays on my skin after my shower and keeps me warm. But it’s also so relaxing with the vapor in the steamy shower.

Scent oil warmer. I find most scents smell better when etheric oils don't get burnt, with few exception like patchouli or palisander-rosewood.

Allergic to false fragrance. Incense has to be the old school Japanese brands made with organic ingredients. I know of only two sources I will use. I like their garden moss.
