My 9 year old niece wants to start wearing pantyhose. Should I let her, or is she too young for them?

Pantyhoses/tights were super popular back when I was little so I basically only wore those from ages like 2 to 8. I dont think those are a age thing. There just made to cover up the legs a bit more than normal while wearing a dress

I agree with you. But now a days, there are so many people out there who hurt and abuse children. Im just worried about her safety. She's only 9, but someone else could look at her and think they can take advantage of her because of what she's wearing.

I was abused when i was around her age and don't ever want her to experience what happened to me because i encouraged her to wear something that attracts negative attention.

honestly, i'd explain to her what exactly the funciton of a pantyhose is and that a 9 year old child is by no means appropriate to wear this. at 14 or maybe 16, i think that's when i may consider alloweing it. but not at 9 years old. unless you're speaking of these kind of winter panty hoses that are just supposed to keep you warm and is worn under some regular pants.

Let her. She'll probably decide that she doesn't want to. You should be thinking about giving her a clothing allowance and letting her choose her own wardrobe. I did this with my kid and gave them only one rule: don't get sent home from school.
