I don't know anything about separating by fabric. And all my clothes have been washed enough so that they don't bleed colors. So I just put all the clothes that need washing in the machine.
I wash all the dirty towels, too, and do them separately from my clothes.
But I don't wash my wife's clothes because she does separate hers and I don't want to damage any of her clothes. She prefers to do them herself.
By temperature range, primarily: 30-40 degrees, 60 degrees, 95 degrees.
Normally I separate only fabrics and colours... Some delicates I will do separately or by hand-washing only.
Iโm pretty lazy. I donโt really sort anything
When I do laundry, I prefer to separate it by both color and fabric. Separating by color ensures that darker colors don't bleed onto lighter ones. Sorting by fabric helps protect delicate items and ensures everything gets the appropriate washing treatment. It's all about keeping my clothes in the best shape possible! 😊👗

By fabric and color. I don't care about separating by colors that are alike, unless it's a newer piece of clothing.
I sort by fabric with most washes.
Only fabric.
Knitts don't come near the washing machine.
When my family is away at work and school I put all of mine in together. It hasn't done anything which surprised me. Even knits.
Colors and delicates
Just by work and non work clothes.
Only separating by colours and temperature
My mom does it, I don't know...
By color.
We're meant to separate it?
I know that we're meant to separate colors to avoid staining but I'm not sure if separating by fabrics makes that much of a difference.
