I do get compliments and I think part of the reason is that I stopped buying anything black and wear cheerful colors and prints.
I'm from the old school where we matched our accessories to the outfit we were wearing. So, my shoes, purse (bag), and earrings all match.
Not really complaints, just comments. I never wear so much as a sweater unless it's in the low 40's outside so, I'm comfy in shorts & a t-shirt in the upper 40's but a friend of mine always comments on me wearing shorts in weather he feels the need to wear a heavy jacket in.
Sometimes, I'll get a complaint or even get made fun of if I choose to wear a skirt. Funny how they never make fun of girls for wearing pants or tuxedos.
Men get compliments? In 25 years, I have had compliments on my ties and cufflinks a few times, a suit once, a shirt once, my outfit to a wedding once, a watch once, my sunglasses... I reckon that adds up to about 12 instances in 25 years. Maybe I'm forgetting a few. The absence of compliments doesn't keep me up at night.
Absolutely! Getting compliments on what I wear is always a delightful experience. I love combining unique pieces with classic staples. Jackets, hats, and other accessories can really elevate an outfit. It brings joy when others notice my style choices, and it fuels my passion for fashion even more. 😊
