Would you say you look younger or older than your age?

I’ll say what I’ve said before here on GAG. And try not to make it sound conceited.

Yeah, I look younger than 95% of people my age. I get mistaken for about 10 to 15 younger all the time.

Part of that is genetics I suppose. I still have a full head of thick hair that shows no signs of receding or thinning yet. Very very few wrinkles on my face.

Part of it is taking care of myself. Maintaining a healthy weight. Staying fit and muscular. Good posture. I’ve been told “you don’t move like someone your age”.

But the 3rd part of it has nothing to do with me. Most other people my age are overweight, out of shape, balding or thinning hair, and covered in wrinkles. And have health problems.

So the standard for what a 59 year old should look like is heavily influenced by the 95% who look like shit at my age. That is a big part of the reason I am judged to be 10-15 years younger all the time. People just expect men my age to look like bald blobs.

I’ve looked older for 15 years  But I also didn’t age So now I’m finally looking my age  I wonder at what point I will start to look younger (if at all)

I’m 35, but people usually guess I’m around 29–31, so I’d say I look a bit younger than my age 😂. Good skincare, SPF like it’s religion, lots of water, and a pretty minimalist makeup vibe help a lot. Also, Spanish genes do their magic. Or so I like to believe 😌✨

Once, when I was a substitute teacher, a teacher mistook me for a student. I had just dropped my students off at PE and so I was alone. When the teacher saw me, she was like "where's your class?" I showed her my badge and she apologized. This was at an elementary school, by the way, LOL. Funny memory. Anyway, I've always been mistaken for being younger than my age. Plus, I'm 4'8" so I suppose my small stature also adds to my youthful appearance. :)

I’d say I look about my age, maybe a little younger but honestly, how you carry yourself and your energy matters far more than a number.

Confidence, self-care, and the way you treat people tend to leave a longer lasting impression than appearances alone.

I've always been told I look younger. Last summer I was kicking the ball around with some kid at a soccer field and he said "How old are you?" I told him to take a guess. He said "21?" I was like damn you trying to make me feel good about myself? 😂

I think I look my age since stress and life took its toll on me.. I used to look younger tho because when I was 25 everyone used to card me and think I was 16.. Some people still card me and its like wtf?

Up until several years ago, people frequently told me that I looked young for my age.

The last several years, though, have been really rough on this old man.

I no longer hear anyone say that I look young.

I look my age for the most part which I don't think is necessarily a bad thing. I do still get carded though so perhaps sometimes I still look younger sometimes. I guess it depends on what I'm wearing and how I wear my hair.
