A lot of short hair styles are really, really cute.

A girlfriend I adored had hair a lot like this but it was light blonde. It looked like a shimmering, bouncy halo. I loved it.

My wife's hair is red and very curly. It is cut about the same way - sort of fluffy and bouncy and down to the nape of her neck.

I don't care for boy's-style hair cuts, or cuts that are short in back like Karen cuts.

Some hair looks great longer but I really don't care for too long because it just gets in the way and must be a pain to care for. Plus, long and parted in the middle is boring. I like hair that is styled, especially around the face.

That's exactly why I have shorter hair! Hard to care for tangly gets damaged takes forever. My hair is at my collar bone, I am blonde and it does part on the middle but that's just where it naturally sits. I like to be low maintenance and it's way less expensive. I'm considering a long bob because I like it and it's easy to care for and looks nice and thick and healthy. Buuuuut I don't want to be alone forever lol I don't want it to be too short and put men off

That's a good choice! Having collar bone length healthy is better than having it longer but damaged. I like it to be long, the longer the better whenever it's heathy and it's her preference.

In the other hand, I dislike how bob looks. The curves at the ends, the sensación of a long shape but which is not long doesn't look good for me. If a girl doesn't want to take a long time in her hair maintenance, I prefer her to have pixie or buzz cut.

My cousin's widow used to have hair down to her knees or better! I loved that! Then she got it cut really short and has kept it that way ever since. What a bummer!
One of mom's fave singers had hair just like that but, I can't recall her name. I can picture her and I know she was a famous country singer's sister but, I just can't grab her name. It's not Rita Cooledge but that's the only name I can come up with. Of course, mom hated her hair! Mom's had a pixie since the late `70's.

You will find that most men prefer longer hair. Essentially what you described as "medium" or longer. And there is an evolutionary biology reason for this.

Longer hair is a reflection of youth and of good health - both highly desirable features in a mate. Youth implies that the woman is in the beginning of her fertile years and thus in the best position to bear many children, and healthy hair indicates good nourishment and a lack of disease, also important for having children. Thus, men who chose women with these features were more likely to have children who themselves went on to reproduce, and the men who didn't choose such women were less likely to reproduce or have children who themselves reproduced. Natural Selection teaches us that traits that improved survival or reproduction got reinforced and those that didn't were reduced or died out completely.

A head of healthy long hair was kind of an instant "background check" that endorsed the woman as desirable.
