I shaved off my eyebrows and drew them on—will people notice from afar?

Long story short, I accidentally got my brows too thin, and based on my experience, it is harder to make them grow back when they are drastically different from the original shape of them, so I decided to shave them off and let them grow back to their original shapes. Luckily, It takes just one month to get them back for me, and I thought that instead of wearing sunglasses all the time, drawing them back might be more convenient. I know that when you get up close, you'll notice that it is make-up, but how do they look considering they are drawn on a surface that is completely hairless?

Many people probably would not notice from a distance.

I really don't know what to say.

If you say from afar then likely no they won't notice. It is kind of hard to notice from those close up pics. You did a good job drawing them in. I don't know that I could do it that well and I wear makeup haha.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Even if someone does a double take and notices they likely won't say anything out of not wanting to be rude or make the wrong guess.

From a distance, people will just see “eyebrows,” not shaved skin with makeup 😊

As long as the shape is balanced and the color roughly matches your hair and features, they’ll look totally normal to others, especially in everyday settings or photos. Up close, yes, people might spot that they’re drawn on, but from afar you’re absolutely safe.

I did shave them before. They definitely grow back in a month. Anyway, it was the first time I tried drawing them on when they were completely bare. It looked more convincing than I anticipated, and I wondered what people would think.

Because the tiny hairs in our eyebrows also have their own growth cycle. When you pluck some of them, you can disrupt that cycle. As a result, it can be harder and slower to grow an eyebrow back to a specific shape than to grow one back after shaving it completely. If I left some of the hairs intact, it would take longer for my eyebrows to return to their original shape.
