Are you comfortable wearing thick layers of makeup? If so, how long does it take to put on your "full face"?

I walked into work today and every gal in the room had a "thick no make-up look"... meaning they looked like they had slabs of makeup on -- complete with the thick "toothbrush" eyelashes and brows that look filled in with sharpie pen and tint galore... My goodness. And I felt my face was overloaded with just the touch of zinc and lipgloss I put on this morning.

I was completely fascinated and horrified at the same time...

Please tell me honestly -- bc I'm not asking sarcastically -- HOW? How does one feel comfortable with so many layers on their face all day long? Especially the lashes bc they have to stay on a few days... glue and all that... And it's very expensive too. Ooof.

Sorry, but personally I don't see the point in spending the time and money to do all that. Perhaps bc I was always taught that natural is better... and the guys who chat me up generally seem to agree. There's nothing/no one worth doing all that to myself for. It wouldn't make me feel confident or fancy at all. (FYI, I tried it once and it was v uncomfortable, but that's just me...)
