I am now actually, and I plan to marry him :) He and I are 5'9"

I think that in today's society it's seen as more desirable for a girl to date a guy that's taller and likewise for a guy to date a girl that's shorter. Why, not sure. Just seems to "fit" better in peoples idealized couple.

But that said, it takes a strong and confident man to date a taller than most woman. I've dated many guys that were shorter than me, in almost all those times I wore heels once... One time...and they couldn't stand feeling like they were dating a tree. Understandably so I suppose. So again: it takes a guy that's really secure in himself to be able to feel smaller without feeling small, to feel proud that his girl is not afraid to be herself and that he isn't afraid to be him either.

Same goes for tall girls dating shorter men. I used to wear only flat shoes near my boyfriends, felt really awkward and insecure being taller and often times a LOT taller. But I learned that I'm beautiful the way I am so why should I feel bad or ashamed for being tall?

Same goes for short guys. Why should you feel bad for being short? Tall girls will like you too, and if someone is caught up in how tall or how short you are they aren't worth being with anyways.

I mean if i really had strong feelings for him but most of the time i end up with boyfriends that are like 2-4 inches taller than me. Simply b/c im only 5'1 and i think it would be weird if he was shorter than me so i like guys taller. PRO: guys with shorter girlfriends most of the time look adorable together. CON: the guy usually ends up always reaching for stuff. PRO: the guy can pick the girl up. CON: i dont have anymore cons.. PRO: when things get intimate its good b/c in a really good make out session. he can pick her up and place her against a wall without a problem. (had that done and it  was really cute and makes things really intense b/c she realizes that the guy is her way down and she can learn to trust him faster)

I simply don't care about height enough for it to determine whether or not I'm attracted to someone. I admit that I am more likely to be physically attracted to an average-looking, 6'5 guy than an above average looking, 5'4 guy, but physical attraction does not determine who I will and will not date.

Yea, I'm 5'8 so I would date someone who was the same height or taller. I don't wear heels enough to worry about the height difference that will cause.

However, I wouldn't date a guy who's smaller then me. I did before and I just felt awkward about it

No cons but the pros...I love when we stand and hug and can easily kiss. Dancing, right there to nuzzle and kiss, talk, giggle, whatever.
I've always dated tall guys. Not a preference but it just worked out that way.

Yes I would but I actually prefer guys taller than myself. If I were dating a guy at my height of  5'10 i would not make it an issue, really. But there is something appealing about being over shadowed by a taller guy I can't really explain it.

I honestly...would not want to =[ And I rarely meet guys who are 5'1. Typically those guys are...really young. Like...children. No pros to it, in my opinion.

I'd be okay with it but it depends on his personality and hygiene and whatever. He'd have to be great. I really prefer tall guys. At least taller than me. It's not too much to ask because I'm only 4'9.

I like tall guys better though. But if a nice guy comes along and all he's missing is height then screw it! I'm not a shallow idiot. I'd like to note that I'm 5'7 which lots my pool of potential partners lol

If i were taller, I'd be more likely to date someone my own height, sure. I'd probably still prefer taller than me, but it wouldn't be as big of a deal as it would be now since I'm barely 5'2''

I'm 5'1, that would be a tiny guy but no I probably wouldn't. I don't think guys are that short though maybe a couple of inches taller than me.
