The 10 scale and beauty in general is so subjective, plus different people are more or less strict, so its basically bullshit in reality. But I'll play the game anyway, haha. To me, 8 is where head-turning hot starts. 5 is Plain Jane average. 6 is "meh, a little better than average, but I'm not excited." 7 is run-of-the-mill good looking. The world is flooded with 7s. Most good looking people are 7s. 8, like I said, is where you start to separate yourself from the pack a little. Most "hot" people are 8s. Once you get into the 9s, that's upper echelon, don't see them every day types. 9 is "god-DAMN!!!" 10s can't truly exist, because that would break the scale :-)
i would think a 7 is a really cute girl.
and an 8 is a very pretty girl, but realistically pretty like someone u'd see at the mall or a club or the prettiest girl at work/school
and a 9 is a mens mag/video model/top money making dancer at a popular strip club
and a 10 is a 9 that is ur type.. say the guy has a thing for girls with almond shaped eyes, then a 9 with cat eyes

I would personally say the girl they rate an 8 should be rated higher but you get the idea.
It's subjective, meaning you can't account for it. What one person says is a 10 can be another person's 7. It's not precise, because it's not based on measurable stuff.
Each guy has his own ideas and preferences. Whatever you do, if you're somehow being rated, don't take that shit seriously whether it's good or bad. There's a lot more important stuff that goes into dating than a 1 point swing on a person's "scale."
Why does it matter. Every guy is going to be different. It's fucking subjective. I see guys on here rating girls like 8 & 9s that I think are around 4-5s. Every guy is going to have their own preferences. The closer you get to meeting that one guy's needs and wants, the higher on his scale you go.
A 7 is attractive, a girl you would want to bang. However, they’re a dime a dozen. They don’t stand out in a crowd full of attractive people, and they are forgettable. You would lose interest in her after not seeing her for a while. An 8 is a girl that does stand out in a crowd full of attractive people. You would still be interested in her long after you haven’t seen her in a while. You don’t easily forget them.
It could be something small like dimples, nice grill work, one of those people that smile & it looks like they have too many teeth, hair cut &/or coloring.
I think its all preference around that range, or anything obvious that stands out to push a 7 to an 8.
Something "minor" but noticeable enough to feel like her looks are a 7 rather than an 8. Maybe something like a hot girl with some acne is a 7, but an 8 is the same girl without acne.
8 is attractive enough to get attention from guys (especially during HS years) solely because of looks. A 7 needs to put more effort into personality.
7s try to make themselves stand out while 8s don't try as hard, but are more willing to go with the flow
7 = less sexy details than 8. for me a 7 for example has deep black eyes and the 8 is same but has light green ones you know
for me 7 is above average and 8 is near perfection. I would never rate a girl as 10 unless I personally know her so the most I ever give is 9, you earn the +1.
