No girl has ever flirted with me. How normal is this?

I am 21 and never even really flirted with a girl. I mean, I've tried in totally nonawkward ways. I make it clear that I like somebody but I'm still subte and not creepy about it, but at the same time they never flirt back or reciprocate interest. I am starting to worry that girls around my age aren't into me. I'm a pretty social guy and get out quite a bit so it's weird to me that nobody has ever shown interest.

I am pretty sure I know about the signs of flirting because I see my friends get hit on quite a bit. I mean, would you flit with me given my appearance in all honesty? Or am I just one of those guys that has to try a lot harder than others?

I think you're cute! Maybe you should try flirting? I don't have really great advice to give you cause I've never really flirted before, the most I've done is give slightly more eye contact haha. Just thought you should know from a girl's point of view that your looks aren't the problem, maybe you just need to put yourself out there in a more flirty way.

Treat it like fishing. Throw your reel out in the pond knowing your gonna get the best catch every, and when you reel it back in realize you didn't catch anything, shrug your shoulders and throw your reel back out there. Hope that's not confusing. Having a short memory helps also

its all to common for that to happen for guys we just end up having the short stick, getting a girlfriend is based on luck, like the lotto, have you tried dating sites? try that see what happens, and yes its like fishing like one user wrote, good luck bro

I have never been flirted with in my life, I'm 30. I heard from a lot of people that I'm handsome, including guys and girls, just only out of pity. I'm 6 ft, blonde, athletic, work out, good skin, good face, take care of my hygiene, clothes etc. I hear guys get more attractive after 30 and can confirm it for myself, but personally, I don't see the point if I have to get to 30 feeling like I'm unwanted trash basically. As if that doesn't mess with your psyche as a social being. Real life is just a lot more brutal than people are raised to think it is and you just gotta tough it out like some extra spicy Thai soup and come out stronger on the other side for it. Spend some time traveling to put it in perspective. You will know you are more capable than you think you are. You have more endurance, strength and courage than you think you have. You are actually a beast, if you believe in yourself.
