Yea, she'll probably like it then. I don't see a girl getting offended over a date complimenting her, light heartedly if it's a new date of course. If a friend does it, she'll probably feel flattered but laugh it off, although she could start thinking you want more than friendship, it only takes the smallest compliment for some girls.
