Hot Guy in My Class?

So there's a hot guy in my AP physics class. Im a sophomore and he's a senior. He's techincally not even in my class because he's in Physics C and im in Physics 1. I've never talked to the guy, but i think he's cute. Im trying to be more outgoimg, but should i face the fact that i have like 0% chance or should i maybe strike up a convo?

try to reach out as a friend as see his reaction. talk about something common , related to school or teachers etc. see where the conversation goes.
