He emailed me about work related stuff and I was questioning him about something and said at the end "also I hope you are well" and he emailed me with this response..."hope you are well too and I look forward to catching up soon"

Guys, is this just a casual response or something else?

I've also heard he might like me... so in unsure but I'm not trying to read in to anything too much.

He might like you. To be honest, that's not enough to go on to know if he likes you or not. The only ways to know are to flirt with him and see how he responds, or ask him out.
