Why is he mimicking me?

There's this guy I know and when he's sitting at a table with me and I start to shake my foot (its a habit) he'll shake his. No big deal. But today we were in the same room, sitting several rows away from each other but we could see each other still, and I had my legs crossed & was shaking my foot and he was shaking his, legs crossed. No big deal. Foot shaking is pretty common. But then I changed the movement & started doing small air circles with my foot and several seconds later, so was he. We weren't looking at each other as in making eye contact but I could see his legs/feet and he could see mine.

What's the deal with the mimicking? Does he think I'll notice our feet are in sync and fall madly in love with him or something?

One time when I was being a desperate loser (like I still am) I looked up "how to show girl you like her" and one of the signals is imitating little things they do so they can relate to you more, in theory. Another one was to point your knees/feet in the girl's direction, to show that you are paying attention to her..

It's just a signal to a guy that you think he's really cute haha. Men are very emotional beings as well even though a lot show off hard exterior shells, that's not always the case. Simply though, he takes it as "Oh hey there ;) " lol

I do that to girls too. I do it because I really like the girl. If he said something insulting to you then you should be angry. you should be flattered that he's copying you.
