What is like friendly cuddling?

So I was hanging out with some friends and my best guy friend was there and his girlfriend recently broke up with him and I've been helping him through it. We were watching a movie and I had my feet across my friend at one end of the couch and I was leaning on my best guy friend and he put his arm on the back of the couch so I was laying on his chest.
Is that weird? One of my friends said it was like casual cuddling but do guys really do that or was he just sad and lonely from the break up?

I don't like him like that but I just want to know if its normal and I shouldn't think or worry about anything

I don't think its a big deal really. Or maybe because my best friend and I do this quite often. When he comes over and we watch movies we I tend to lay on the couch he carries my legs or I lay my head on his chest or he lays his head in my lap. We're just friends and have been friends for over a decade now. So I guess its normal to cuddle but it could also be because he just broke up with his gf.

I used to friendly cuddle with my guy friends all the time. Probably because I have big boobs and they were a nice pillow. It was mutually unspoken and agreed upon that it was strictly friendly, and nothing ever happened between them and I. So it's possible to cuddle with friends in a platonic manner!

I say "used to" because I don't really hang out with them anymore.

Guys and girls probably shouldn't be "cuddling" if they aren't boyfriend girlfriend. I wouldn't cuddle with my guy friends, since I don't swing that way
