Do "friends" cuddle?

There is this girl that I like, but she told me that she isn't ready for a relationship, but she hasn't put me in the "friend" zone. We can talk for hours on end, and she always gives me big hugs, every time she see's me. We have hung out a few times and we always had a great time together.

She wants to do a movie night at my place and I mentioned about cuddling up and she was all for it, so do "friends" cuddle?

No, "friends" do not cuddle. People who are sexually attracted to each other cuddle.

Put it this way, would you cuddle one of your male friends on a movie night? Probably not. Seems like people have lost all common sense when it comes to drawing the line between friendship and attraction these days. Intimate physical touching is not something 2 platonic friends do. I hang with girlfriends and I definitely do not suggest snuggling together on the couch. If I did, their eyebrows would raise.

If you cuddle a so-called friend of the opposite gender you are highly likely to end up in a confusing situation where one or the other of you will expect this to lead to more and get frustrated when it doesn't. Oh, and back in the day, if a girl cuddled with a guy, she would be called a tease if she denied him a kiss or a make out session. We knew cuddling would lead a guy to think sexual interest was there.

When I'm lying on the couch either my guy or girl friend will jump on me and just lay there talking to me. Cuddling isn't always spooning and groping. Its not always sexual. If you aren't comfortable enough with yourself to show affection that way then that's fine, but don't try to make others think it's unheard of. Not saying I'd cuddle with my buddy for a movie but there is usually some kind of body lounging going on at least for a minute or two at some point. We are comfortable enough with ourselves and each other to not think anything of it. With my little brother, I'll lay in him or he'll lay on me for hours. Especially if we are gaming.

yea I cuddle with my friends, but it may not be such a great idea if you have strong feelings for her, things could get ectremely awkward if you get a boner while cuddling (this is assuming you are spooning or she has her head in your lap) so think about it before hand just so things don't get too awkward for either of you

There's nothing wrong with cuddling. It's just a way to show affection... and contrary to what Tamikaze said, there doesn't have to be any sexual attraction connected to it. I cuddle with friends, guy or girl... its just about showing affection, but not necessarily sexual affection.

I could use a good cuddle buddy. I only cuddle with people I am at least somewhat attracted to, but it doesn't mean that I want to bang her. Most of the time I actually would rather that not happen. Cuddling makes me feel good for nonsexual reasons.

Yes. I had a group of guys I used to hang out with and I cuddled with all of them multiple times at one point or another during our movie nights.

I cuddle with friends.. not any of my girl friends but I sometimes do with a close guy friend... maybe cuddle with her just this time, and see where it goes? :)

Honestly, I don't consider cuddling a sexual behavior. Friends may shy away from it because it may IMPLY something more is going on, or that the other person would be uncomfortable with it. Really, there is no easy answer. It depends on the people involved. It seems you both are okay with it, so maybe try it and see how it goes. Otherwise, you guys can stop if it gets too awkward.

I thought so, but he got the wrong idea so when it came time I had to tell him I did not feel the same and are friendship was over.

I think she have feelings towards you :D...but maybe she is afraid of a relationship now or like she said not ready I don't think it's a "friends" issue
