Help please AHHH did I creep this guy out?

did I creep this guy out? so about a year ago I saw this guy who I've actually never met or even seen before on my swim team and I thought he was hottt so I told my friend and somehow he found out. it's awkward because I've actually still never talked to him but his friends sometimes tease him about it. he actually didn't even accept my follow request on instagram. k I swear I'm not some creepy stalker chick but I feel like he's creeped out by the fact that I like him. he's just super shy. what can I do? I've tried to just say like good luck to him before a race but he just acts really awkward ahh. and I'm like good friends with his friends and they're chill so I wanna be able to talk with him I'm gonna be on his team for at least 2 more years till he goes off to college. oh ps I'm a sophomore and he's a junior. please help me

Propably not, especially if he is shy. It just means that he propably thinks your cute and likes you, and he just feels awkward to say anything to you back, again because he is really shy. Whenever I meet with someone or a go to a party or people come to my party, since I am really shy, I get propably the worst case of anxiety. So he propably gets really nervous around you too.

I don't think you acted creepy but I think it's a good idea to take a bit more distance. You shouldn't ignore him but just be neutral but stay friendly. Let him overcome his shyness and when he's ready and feels a bit more comfortable with you, he will take the first step and talk to you!

I think he is interested, but his "Friends" are holding him (and you) back. Sad how many of our so-called "Friends" in school turn out to be anything but... so asking him quietly, you two alone, would help.

If not then i guess he's simply not interested.
