Why does she confuse me so much, are all beautiful girls so confusing?

Okay, me and this girl have been talking for a long time, we are long distance friends. I grew a crush on her because well I was always attracted to her, she is gorgeous but mainly because of her personality. We have simlar personalities and will have phone conversations and constantly make each other laugh for hours. Anyway I admited to having a crush on her, I really started to like her she said she couldn't see us working out and she couldn't see me as a boyfriend ever so I got hurt and stopped talking to her. Over one month later I really missed her and wanted to talk to her so I did. She replied back and wondered why I stopped talking to her and why I started talking to her again. So I told her I missed her and I was hurt and felt rejected which is why I stopped. She said I never rejected you and said I couldn't see the relationship working out due to the long distance and both of us want to be with are families, it just wouldn't work. Anyway, we started talking again, she knows I have a crush on her and like her but still talks to me. She even flirts with me, teases me, I showed her a picture of a recent wedding I was at and she giggled and said I look like a dork, but I mean that as compliment, whatever that means. She even called me babe accidentally? I am confused by her, she is acting like nothing happend and I do not know where we stand. I love talking to her but what does she want out of the relationship at its current state?
