I am talking about those little changes that guys are supposed to notice about a girl and comment on to make them feel special. I know some are like, "Hey, are those new earrings? They look good on you..." and stuff like that, but how do you make those comments without being creepy.
I feel like if you notice something subtle about some girls, they will picture you as a creep. If you are successful with these compliments, however, what comments do you girls like to hear the most?

I would love to be complimented on a personality trait. Like my being smart, funny, or nice/sweet. Also little things like "I like your hair like that" if they style it in a different way lets me know you are paying attention and care.

Lol, dude. I agree with some girls, but the ones I like are humble and quiet. Those popular girls are not worth it and will never be. The guys think that they're hot, but they just wear tons of makeup.

The problem is many guys tell compliments because they want/expect something in return and thus making the compliment about them and not the women they're complimenting.

I've seen online a lot of women say "if you wouldn't say it to your grandma, or mom, then don't say it to the women either".
