Why do people become so cuddly when they feel tired? I'm guilty of this as well?

I am not a touchy person and never have been but whenever I start to become really tired around my best friend we just start getting really cuddly and sometimes fall asleep together. For example I was in and out of consciousness when I was watching TV with her and she was just as tired. Its weird she fell asleep on top of my shoulder and I just rubbed her back and she rubbed my chest and we fell asleep. It happens a lot and we don't like each other but we just get so I don't know mushy lol when were tired.

I think it's instinctive bc we used to have to cuddle up with wolves if other pepos dressed in fur to keep warm while we sleep. Preservation method.

I think levels of oxytocin go up when you're tired as well bc pekoe like to feel safe when sleepy again bc you're after in numbers. So the drive to cuddle goes up when yours mite vulnerable evolutionarily speaking.

Sometimes you just don't want to move because you are already comfortable where you're at. So you just fall asleep wherever and with whoevers around.
