I’ve read somewhere that when you’ve bonded with your partner, your body releases oxytocin when they’re around you. Oxytocin is known to lower blood pressure and your stress level which in turn promotes relaxation. This seems to be the case with my boyfriend. He has trouble sleeping but when we’re cuddling or just hanging out on the couch he always ends up falling asleep - he said my presence is soothing and calming. It makes me happy to know that he feels safe enough in my presence to let his guard down and fall asleep. Do you also find this to be the case with you and your S. O?
